There's No Ship Like Fellowship Says Southern Baptist Church!
On Sunday, March 26th, family and friends entered the doors at Southern Missionary Baptist Church to gather for the purpose of enjoying just plain ole FELLOWSHIP. The day began with Sunday School at 9:30 AM which became the segway for Morning Worship at 11:00 A M. As the people of God gathered for the worship service, they were anxiously arriving to enter into joyful praise and worship from the Deacons who led the devotion, as well as the jubilant sounds from the mighty voices of Southern's King's Men Male Chorus.
As the service progressed, the music ministry of Manifest Ensemble provided an open invitation to bless the Lord through their gift of expression, which served as an introduction to the word of God by Pastor Roger D. Carson. This day was set aside for family and friends to gather, breaking of bread together, as well as to feast upon the visitation of fellow cohorts in the gospel. After the delicious meal with all, the congregation gathered later in the day, at 4 PM, to receive guest from New Progressive Baptist Church, Ann Arbor, Mi. where the Pastor is Rev. Keith D. Wilson. His message was one of an uplifting nature that encouraged the congregation to trust totally on the Lord, never forgetting the purpose of Jesus in their lives.
It was indeed a gathering of the saints of God for the saints. The spirit of fellowship certainly filled the room from the pulpit to the back door. Blessings be upon Pastor Roger Carson and the people of God at Southern Missionary Baptist Church for a great service! God bless your labor!
