Lessons From A Pencil!

My mother always taught us honesty, and told us to be truthful. Lessons that I learned from my mother: My father was always conducting revivals, and my mother took care of us. She sent us to the store to buy groceries and demanded that we return with the correct change.

Lessons from a pencil:

It does not matter the color, the size or the shape, the most important things is what is on the inside. It could be white, black, red, brown or yellow. It's what's on the inside that matters.

So it is with us. Your color does not matter. It's what's on the inside that counts.

Pencils come in all colors, shapes, sizes. So do we. And it does not matter. Some of us are tall, some are short, some are fat and some of us are skinny. However, the only thing that matters is what's on the inside.

I was attending the State Fair in Dallas, Texas in 1959 and I saw a balloon man blowing up balloons and send them sailing into the air. He blew up a red one, a green one, a blue one and a white one. The little boy said to the balloon man, "If you blow up that black one will it go that high, And the understanding balloon man, said, Son, it's not the color, it's the stuff inside that makes it rise.

Pencils also come equipped with something that allows you to make mistakes. It's called an eraser. All that a mistake means is that you missed the stake, and so you erase your mistake, and you keep trying until you get it right.
