On Saturday, September 2nd a few things nags were happening on Bancroft Street besides orange barrels, road closing, and detours. SERENITY DINER, who has reopened its doors to the Toledo community again, is back and in the heart of the community that it loves to feed.
After succumbing to a fire some months ago, SERENITY is ready to bring good food back with scrumptious meals that leave one wanting to return for more. Their robust menu is compelling and inviting with a Southern flair that drives home its mission, to leave you full of the best tasting soul food in town and ready for more; you will not be disappointed.
When entering the doors, one will find smiling faces, warm gestures and servers ready to fill your desire to be fed. As the time grew for the Grand Opening, Elder Wayne Ellis, General Manager of the DINER, with more additions coming in the not too distant future, states that
it's been a long time coming but having comeback places them right where they want to be, pleasing the old as well as the new customers who will frequent the DINER. He states that SERENITY has had numerous businesses in the city but the DINER is the sweetheart of the businesses, as Mother Erma McGhee loves to cook. His passion for pleasing the customers is paramount, along with remaining in the Central City part of town where the customers can readily access the DINER.
Elder Ellis and wife, Princess, along with Bishop M. C. And Lady Erma McGhee, are excited about the SERENITY DINER being back in business. Stay tuned Toledo, as they will be providing an expanded selection of services to the community in the coming months. The DINER is located at 1826 W. Bancroft, open on Wednesday thru Sunday from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Congratulations SERENITY DINER upon your return. May God bless you as you bless others!
