Friday, December 15th was a busy day for the No Limits Women's Support Group. They hosted their First Annual Xmas Dinner with family and friends from all points of the area. The dinner was catered by the group itself that included an extravangant menu of items that included:
glazed ham, meatballs and gravy, baked chicken, fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, candied yams, cheese souffle, collard greens, cornbread dressing with cranberry sauce, potato salad, pasta salad, hawaiian rolls, and an extensive array of desserts from cheesecake, peach cobbler, and bundt pound cake topped off with a delicious pineapple mixed drink.
Friends and family gathered for this festive evening to share and encourage each as the gifts were exchanged. Remarks were given by Pastor Lee Williams of the Searchlite Community Church, Elder Delores Williams from the Mental Health Recovery Services and First Church of God. Members of the No Limits Group shared their experiences and words of inspiration since becoming a part of the group and seemingly planted seeds in some who were in attendance. The evening was also shared surprisingly with a co-laborer in the gospel whose birthday it was. Pastor Lorene Pettaway of the Kingdom Community Church did not know that she would be celebrating her birthday at the dinner, alonmg with family who surprised her by being in attendance. She of course expressed great gratitude for being thought of by the group.
The No Limits Women's Support Group would like to thank each of you who were in attendance to their successful, fun filled Xmas Dinner. WE look forward to more celebrations with our community partners. Blessings be upon you during this holiday season! May God bless you.
