Bethesda Christian Center's New Location: A Service of Blessing!

An experienced Minister and Community Leader, Bishop Marjorie Holt, Ph. D. got her second wind as Pastor at Bethesda Christian Center. Wearing a shirt that proudly proclaimed “Believe it or not, I was made for this,” on July 21, 2019, Bishop Marjorie Holt opened the new doors of Bethesda Christian Center and invited the people to come and “Experience something different!”

The air was filled with excitement and anticipation as congregants entered the beautiful, new facility that will undoubtedly serve as grounds for the saving of many.

Bishop Holt has worn many hats in the City of Toledo ranging from Social Worker, to Talk Show Host to Professor, just to name a few. Dr. Holt founded Bethesda Christian Center over 23 years ago.

After a hiatus, the church is back but not with a ‘business as usual’ attitude. Bethesda embraces the concept of Next Level Ministry and with vigor and excitement, they have plans and a vision to move higher. “We’re back! This is next level; next level with Him. God said, ‘It won't be like it was.’” decreed Bishop Holt with grace, authority and spiritual boldness.

Guest Speaker, Bishop Brehon Hall shared a well-received message entitled “Whose House is this?” “God says: ‘I will build a church.’ They should not hear you, they should hear the God coming out of you. God came back and got Dr. Holt because God always finishes what He starts!” declared Bishop Hall. Bishop Hall and several local pastors and clergy prayed and performed a dedication over Bishop Holt and Bethesda Christian Center.

Conveniently located in Pavilion Plaza, Bethesda Christian Center is set up to serve the many needs of the community – both spiritually and naturally. The facility boasts of 17 rooms including several offices, a Dining hall, Prayer room, Guest Pastor Study, Next Level Board Room, Private Dining, Music, Arts & Drama Office, Elders Office, Community Outreach Office for Community Partners, and even an Exercise room called appropriately the “Move it, Lose it Fitness Suite,” that encourages people to practice self-care of their temples. The church also has a Marketplace Ministry Corridor where parishioners can find a wide range of Christian books and literature, t-shirts, hats and jewelry, and purses. The church is also available to accomodate special celebrations and conferences for ministries in need of space.

While she serves the community in various capacities, her service as pastor is where she believes God has ordained her to preside. Bishop Holt addressed the congregation: “My shirt says believe it or not I was made for this. God has taken good care of me because I'm doing what He's called me to do. I wouldn't want to do anything else. God said, ‘For this season, the calling is on your life and you were made for this.’”

Bethesda Christian Center is located at 5967 Telegraph Rd. Services are held on Sunday’s at 11:00 A.M. and Tuesday’s at 7:00 p.m. and are open to all to come and experience this NEXT LEVEL MINISTRY!

Congratulations Bishop Holt and Bethesda!
