Annual Picnic and Fun Day At Jerusalem Baptist!
By Interfaith Gazette Staff
Fun day was a happy day on the grounds at Jerusalem Baptist Church. The month of August brings many festive occasions that mark nearing the end of the summer, vacations, trips, and sun.
Jerusalem Baptist Church realized that their grounds could be happy grounds for fun in the sun as well. They chose to celebrate on their site this year as opposed to moving the picnic to a local park. The children enjoyed the inflatables, face painting by Celine Woods from Lucas County Children Services, and other activities that would spark their interest. One could see that it was truly a family affair.
The members shared tents that were strategically located away from the activities, making way for plenty of food, games, and fellowship. Pastor Willie Perryman stated that this day was a day for all to relax, enjoy, and engage in lots of fun with each other. It was evident that this day accomplished its mission. Many were sharing conversations and stories as we walked around about the day's events. It appeared that much fun took place at this year's Annual Picnic at Jerusalem Baptist Church.
